Table Piece #1
Presented as a solo exhibition in Die Aula, Akademie der Bildenden Künste München as part of the 2009 Jahreaustellung
Drinks for the opening night were served on the table, along which a music stave ran. A live video feed of notation created by the cups, wine bottles and cigarette packets was fed from a camera under each section of the table, or bar of the stave, to a series of televisions. A rotation of musicians interpreted the evolving score for the duration of the exhibition on an instrument of their choosing. The ambience created by the live music in turn effected the way drinks were drunk and glasses were placed.
