Made during the last weeks before the Visual Resources Centre's closure at Manchester School of Art
As Adopt A Slide put it, the Visual Resources Centre was “an archive that documents a century of teaching practice within the art school, not just in the range of images it contains but in the way they have been organised, categorised, labelled and used – in the materiality of the artefacts themselves”. No slide images of the VRC itself had been made since the 1970s; captured in the archaic medium it housed, the slide photograph by its nature rendered the VRC in its current state as historic.
